In the past, people believed the earth could provide an infinite supply of resources, while absorbing endless amounts of waste. However all life is intertwined and sustained by a single web. And, though the Industrial Revolution has brought great progress to our lives that very progress has systematically poisoned the land, water and air that are vital for our very survival.
We are committed to the life of our planet – disturbed by the exploitation and pollution of it – saddened by apathy towards the natural environment. The evidence is there -- that our relentless devotion to fossil fuels is causing irreparable damage. We need to move away from the use of fossil fuels and towards alternatives like hydrogen-powered, and solar, wind, tidal and geothermal energy. If we don’t, it’s only a matter of time until we ‘achieve’ Global Ecocide. Ultimately the Fate of this Planet is in Human Hands! Your hands!

Truly a hero for the times! Renowned environmental activist, scientist, broadcaster, author and chair of the David Suzuki Foundation, to reverse global climate change. Suzuki co-founded the David Suzuki Foundation in 1990, to work "to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us." One of his Foundation's priorities is clean energy – which is why we at FES got going, and is what we remain so gung-ho about!
Of course, we also recognize that Suzuki’s concerns about and efforts directed towards: oceans, sustainable fishing – and climate change and sustainability overall, are what helps make the world go round (and in its healthiest way) for us!
